Korea Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA) operated an integrated Korea pavilion at 2019 OTC (Offshore Technology Conference), which took place May 6-9 at Huston, USA, spanning more than 564,000 sq ft, with major equipment installations, holograms and interactive displays actively engaging 59,200 attendees.
Harboring 24 Korean exhibitors, engaged in production and supply of marine equipment and solutions, the Korean Pavilion consists of three divisions organized by the Korea Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA), Ulsan Port Authority (UPA) and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), respectively. Participants in the Korea Pavilion are supported by the Korea Federation of SMEs (K-BIZ).
During the exhibition, Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon made a field visit to the Korea pavilion to encourage Korean business people, holding dialogues with participants after receiving a briefing from Kang Jae-Jong, KOMEA executive managing director. etc.
Korean exhibitors at the OTC 2019 has been tallied to have harvest about US$150 million worth of business meeting with their business partners throughout the world.`
OTC Board of Directors Chairman Wafik Beydoun said: "Energy professionals from around the world attended the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference — the 50th anniversary — at NRG Park to gain insights from global experts and colleagues. While speakers challenged ideas about the changing landscape of exploration and production, exhibitors displayed the impact of technology and digitalization on the science of energy supply and demand management."
